Just feeling a little down tonight,
fee

Weary and Weighted

Eyes heavy lidded by weight of yesterdays

Mind damaged by holding on to a dream

Old body with a few minor imperfections

My wallet, better days you know has seen

The house foreclosed and I walked away

Hid the teardrops of despair in a smile

Knowing that if I let it get to me again

I’ll carry that weight a long, long while

My truck’s being taken back by Mr. Ford

Not enough cash for the renewal cost

Overdraft protection on checking account

They say that cause is all but lost

Alone I type words to the lunar Queen

Here in my tower up in the midnight sky

Empathy seems to have taken over me

As I swallow pride and self pity sigh

Then your face comes smiling at me

Your voice tells me it will be okay

Your memory suckles at my heart

I love you more and more each day…

Rough times for everyone Fee. Hang in there. Things usually get worse before they get better. Hold tight to love; it'll see you through.

Life has winters.
We do so often have to wait, and wait, doing what we can, until winter is the memory- and we enjoy the fireflies dancing just for us.
Love is that magic which can tide us over.
A hand reaches out from the other side.
Best regards,

John

Crime, it most certainly is when we are forced to be parted from those things that are so dear to us - not so much for material reasons, but because of the inherent sentiment which romantics like us invest in our special places - home, hearth and Honda!! You take us with you as always, Darlin. We certainly feel your pain and the shame (ie. sadness) of it all. But your final stanza is like a chink in the clouds, the sudden and unexpected appearance of a beautiful rainbow which inexplicably turns the mood from despondency to inspiration. Love rules our minds and our hearts at all times, even during the worst that life can throw at us. The Lunar Queen sees and knows all.. faith and hope are all a matter of perspective, of what our heart chooses to believe. And how tender is that last stanza - for a male to sense memory "suckling" at his heart is really special. You are a very special and dear man, Felix, who knows what it is to feel - and is not afraid to be open and alive to it. A precious write, thank you, Kate xx

I once read a book called "Failure, the back door to success" the one good thing I have found (more then once in my life as I started over) that there is a wonderful moment when you finally let go of the past and relize that starting over making better choises can be a wonderful adventure. Look to the future my friend. LadyJ

Dear Felix, God knows the suffering we passed in the twelve different places where life took us. Each place, we were forced to leave sometimes with our belongings, and sometimes without. We have always kept our faith, as my father used to tell us "Shay ma Idoom" (Nothing will last for ever.) Then he said: "better days are ahead of us". That's how we slowly age. Yes, life is hard sometimes for those whose future will be better. Believe me, my friend, I am saying this at my age. We are all with you in our prayer, you will see everything will be fine. Love Emile

Oh Fee, what a sad write! I feel your pain...but those things lost, are just "things"..the real gold in your life is the one who loves you through everyting! When I was going through a very rough time after my divorce 21 years ago, my wonderful father told me "They can't take away your health or the ones who love you, so don't focus on the material side of life, it's just not worthy of your attention. You'll get by." And I did...and it wasn't easy...but I never forgot his words.

Hugs,
Anna

Still the forever romantic I see.
I admire the company you keep with millions of others all over the unniverse. You certainly tugged at my heart and there are many similarities in this poem for me as well. This is what is so phenomenol about your poetry Fee. You make it easy for others' to identify. You have the fire of a great writer and the familiarity it takes to capture your fans.
It's awesome to be back in good company.
God less.

I can completely relate. I pretty much feel this way most of the time of late and the ones we love are pained to see it. This is excellent writing, and it tugs at my heart.

Fee,

I wish I could come up there and be the one to tell you it will be alright. Oh, I feel the pain in these lines of trying to survive in a cold, cruel world ... no wonder you believe in the magic of Santa Claus. You need one, now ... well penned.

(((HUGS))) love and prayer, Karla.
