The Guitar Whisperer’s Song

By: Fee

Okay old friend, come let’s sit a spell

you’re one sweet lady that’s for sure

been around the block a time or two

but old girl your voice is still pure

we’ve sang many songs together

through the good times and the bad

always there when I needed you

my one true friend when I was sad

you got scars, dents and scratches

but baby you wear your age so well

some ask: “Why don’t I get a new one?”

but I don’t want to kiss and tell

we’ve whispered songs to sunsets

sang funeral dirges to  fallen dead

sweet lullabies to babes in arms

spoke out with words of angry red

we’ve sung nursery rhymes and carols

love songs to melt the coldest heart

we’ve travelled across the country

on a beach I swore we’d never part

sweet oak mistress of the night time

you’ve never asked too much of me

a set of strings every now and then

was all it took to set your magic free

tenderly I lay you in your velvet case

knowing tomorrow I will touch you all new

once more we’ll make music together

the guitar whisperer, a song and you…

Whisperer is so true Fee. The one place where I can always go to forget everything is my music. And yes, once you find the right one, a new one just wouldn't be the same. My Tak was already 20 when I found her....Just beginning to give pleasure. She has matured ten more years in my care and sounding better with each passing year.
A picture of real life here.

this is true love, true passion, true faithfulness to the hollow-bodied woman's art, form, loveliness and inspiration. Dear Felix, you play her - and our emotions - oh so well, whether in moods of mirth, magic or mayhem. Your whispers are always so sweet to our ears and hearts. A voice always to be heard and listened to. Love this... now off to read Georg's part in this... !! :)) xx

Thanks Fee!...and now lets lit a campfire by the shore, wrap ourselves in parkas and anoraks, belt a few rum swigs and get that guitar cranking a few songs for the friends a that are and those that aren't, so everybody for once will be happy.

You betcha. She has quite the figure, too. The intimacy between the musician and his instrument is unlike any other. Boy this is a sweet write, Fee. Aches to be sung...Lin

So beautiful i read it three times! I can completely relate! I play guitar and sing as well;) As a matter of fact I am working on a demo right now for my most recent poem/lyric: "I am the Heart of Haiti."

Nice thing about the guitar is it can go with you easily anywhere you want to go*
Your poem is brilliant, worthy of a frame and a picture of the old girl??

Best wishes to you!
