Indian Summer
By: Felix L. Perry
Once subtle earth tones
collage into pumpkin hues
Indian summer
Hint of breeze on cheek
your hand gently squeezes mine
your promise of more
Pluck leaf from your hair
see forever in your smile
the world is in tune
Afternoon shadows
like Mother Nature’s bar code
no expiry date
hug
