The Seaman's Widow
By: Fee
The sea was his mistress
She always knew in her heart
She had to share his love
She knew from the very start
Storm clouds on the horizon
She watched his from ashore
She held true to his promise
She’d be his forever more
His last kiss was his eulogy
She knew when, years went by
She knew he’d never return
She tried so hard, not to cry
Realization came, on that stony shore
She stopped counting the years
She still sings his sad sea shanties
She wipes away her salt tears…

Your poem about sea widows' sorrow rings true to me.
