ORANGE

Orange is not my favorite color,

Orange is what I wear every day.

Orange is a color when outside everyone

Knows that I belong to a system

That system is Jail.

Orange is not my favorite color.

It was Green for the color of money,

But that changed because of the color

Red.

Red of blood when my gun went off and a man

Lied motionless with red all around him.

Green turned to Red, Red turned to Orange

Orange I know will turn to the color of

Love once again since I am changing inside

My Orange colored world.

I am wearing orange for life, but when

I’m out in the yard

I see the colors of life.

Thank you God for the color

Orange, it might have saved many

Lives since I only saw

GREEN

I am sorry for the pain I have caused and

The life that is no longer.
