Yeah, so you say you like my singing
wait'll you see me dance
I suppose it's all the same, though
that weak excuse you use
about having to be somewhere else
all of a sudden
When it's real it's real
you can't seem to get that
with your daunting sighs
and your just beyond me outlook
I told you that arms lengthing
only creates doubt
the inextinguishable passion
that mounts when we proximate
that says what? You aren't saying
your lips don't lie...look they're trembling
so I shook you up a bit
a cup of really good coffee will do that, too
I'm not talking about forever
I can't get my head around the now
I'm just showing you the sights
that lie just beneath the layers
you paint on in the morning, warning
all those who approach to expect exactly what you're not
OK then, you go figure it out
take your time and do the math
the time stream gives me a headache
I'll abide and bite my nails
washing my thoughts in the afternoon sun
with a cup of really good coffee
