There's only so far I can go
and there's only so much I can show you
Right before the wall,
you'll have to rely on what you've heard
and the change that made in you

However subtle, or bombastic the charge
I can face unafraid, that which is levied
when I know that
for all this insipid mind wrestling,
I've managed to mete out some philosophy

Tear a hole in the ink-black fabric
and regard the tatters in time
The true st of these
is the whole of them
and they must be felt to be considered

Prone, my offers continue without pause
see them as you will
If your thirst is awake
down them with haste
Consciousness is the water of life

A nicely crafted piece, Brian. I am quite taken with this passage:

"for all this insipid mind wrestling,
I've managed to mete out some philosophy'

It sums my own mind-wrestling up nicely with the word 'insipid' the core word, conveying eons of thoughts.

Pour me a double, please! Managing "to mete out some philosophy" is no small task.
Beautifully crafted, Brian.
Very much enjoyed.

Consciousness is the water of life. This is spoken truly.
