Bird Man

He dances in space
cosmic dust
elegant and otherworldly

Yet his aura radiates heat
Heat elixered with spiced honey
salted air and ozone
sage and cedar
oil and smoke

Rhythm and his love of women
tether him to earth
Otherwise he'd fly straight up
and meld with the sun
