Light without form, voice without sound.
I am a ghost who rings through you and then is gone.
My footprints press on hearts I will never know--
souls without flesh that I can touch. The wisp of air I am
yearns for the substance of earth. My fingers search
the imprinted Braille as I travel blind, the raised dots a code
I struggle to cipher with trembling hands. The dark is that world
unknown--the world within, the frontier whose geography
is ever-changing. I am learning me. And if you could only see me,
really see who I am--maybe I would come to read myself
as reflected in your eyes.

This is fabulous, Linda. Wonderful self-reflexive write, yet very cleverly using the device of a personal journal that is both it's own self and a projection of the internal landscape. As others have already said, this is superbly crafted and written with such a lightness of touch, yet is insistent and pressing on the mind, leaving the mystical thumbprint of presence. This is such a great poem, The two biggest problems facing humanity, unwillingness to consider another as our equal and failure to look deep enough inside each other and our selves to learn who we really are.
