Charles by Henry Burt Stevens 09/29/2006 authorsden.com don't take me out and shoot me i don't remember what i had for lunch but the sun goes down and that means i'll eat again just don't ask about lunch i know a smile when i see one i feel the warmth of a friend's hand who cares what year i was born in i'm still here won't you be my friend?

This is a moving poem, Henry. It makes me think of the elderly, patients with Alzheimers and speaks volumes. ~~Nordette
