Fake Out

Fake-Out


Closed doors,


my eyes hide


secrets from a cold blue universe.


No dripping ache


to smear the day with red.


No anarchy of thought


to test the government of rationality.


In one fell swoop


hormonal chaos,


white powder swirl,


manic circles,


cry-laugh-anger.


Synapse snap and burn.


The mouth smiles


but


behind the eyes...

Whoa...! Could this be the penultimate poetic commentary on the emotional depths of womanhood...? This was frighteningly -- tragically -- powerful. Excellent!
