You capture a lifetime in a moment and the moment that is always a lifetime. Time truly does stand still for those whose friendship is established outside of mere superficial contact. Lovely aggregate of the power of emotions and feelings, Sandy. That sense, of time stopping, of living memories which last for seconds of eternity, comes through with a bittersweet languidness that envelopes the reader, creating its own time-stopping moment in the mind's eye, and heart. What I noted was the lack of recrimination or acrimony which are prevalent when human's look 'back' into 'What could have beens...'.
