telegraph exploded
with the sinister news,
midwife rode off one spring
leaving someone's minister in
the pasture with the ewes,

she sent
the telegraph
to another woman
that the minister had
blood on his hands, God
spoke sin, it shamed the Joshua
tree, it blistered Hebrew sands, that
baby she delivered to the young woman
was fathered by a one shot prayer on his
knees behind her in to the hilt of the biblical
rod, sickened her so, the midwife rode off to
other lands,

the years
passed by,
the umbilical
cord she kept
tethered a skeleton
with the lie,

the woman
who received
the telegraph lay
naked on the other
side of the midwife's
bed writhing in passion,
and let it be said the minister's
sister and the midwife raised the
bastard child.

Unthinkable! Unacceptable! Corruption and deception is everywhere! No one is exempt - we expect this crap from movie stars and our lack luster sport heroes but then why do we? They are sick people and they make the general public want to puke! Amen!

Never saw that coming! It does however provide solid grounding to the term tending his flock, if they'll have him. Patrick

Sage, another well told story, very visual, sadly true to life.

such sins are visited freely on the innocent-well written account of such!

incestuous bastard brother...that minister
the reality presses into each generation too unfortunately
I cannot even fathom why...or is it how(?) any perverted thought
or sexual deviance can over come it's conscience...
But I must say I surely do love how you tell this story
which is so much more than a story or a tale
"One Shot Prayer" gives your readers a birds eye view in perspectives
of the bastard they may be dealing with in their own lives-
weather it be a daughter or a sister or a neighbor.
Exposure of secrets removes their power & voicing the ugly deeds of males will empower women...and who said women are mental?! Men decided this...was it diversion tactics?
Women support each other just as this midwife & minister's sister did.
Midwives!!! a male seen a midwife in action & thought $$cha-ching!!$$$
"I can make money doing this!"
Back in the day men/man/males deemed women with PMS to be insane
or was it also menopausal women?...all the while they point fingers
and cannot look inside at their sexual rape & perversion

hummm appears I engross myself in these topics of expression

Pretty entertaining in it's format and content. Another good write by the queen of the firebrand lesbian novels...

Much peace, love, and light,

Wow! What a twist! I wouldn't have given him the pleasure of the ewes!

Peace and writhing passion

Look Away Silence by Edward Patterson

Martin Powers wanted an ironing board for Christmas. Instead, he got . . . Matthew Kieler, a non-returnable gift, but a gift that kept on giving. A powerful tale of survival, compassion and unapologetic love in the time of AIDS.
