This poem is a response to a poem written by Mr. Ed who tries to save pets that are discarded and/or abused. Pets depend on us humans for care and they are so full of love. Why would anyone abuse them? They should be a high priority when it comes to love and attention. We should never be too busy to spend time with our pets.

Our cats just about own our home. Yes, they let us stay there. Our pets need lot's space to roam. They get top priority everywhere. They thank us when we give them treats. We love to watch their happy reaction. Sometimes they do the funniest things. Many times they are our main attraction. So how can people throw their pets away? It's like throwing a ball of love down the drain! It's just not right; it's just insane! We will all meet our Maker one day. If we are unkind; there will be hell to pay! Amen Reference: *Proverbs 2:10 "A righteous man cares for the needs of his animal, but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel"*

Amen!The phenominal work Mr. Ed does is a blessing to so many poor discarded creatures...who deserve a good life! Pets are "not" disposable!!!!! Nicely done, John!

Our pets are totally dependant on us, and therefore need our love and attention at all times. They give us so much back, and teach us about unconditional love, loyalty...and how to have fun!! :) As for overindulgence, I think it is all about being sensible and having an overall balance...

I've noticed that some people with misplaced kindness overindulge their pets and confine them to the point where they do not lead very meaningful lives. But then people do the same to their children.
