It's a whole new world today. Relatives live so very far away. Singles or couples don't need to celebrate Christmas alone. There are so many church gatherings to attend. We just need to contact others on the internet, the newspaper or call them on the phone. Amen

The more I live and the more that I see I think Christmas is all about a Christ loving family The family that gathers around to celebrate His birth Family who gather and pray for peace to all upon the earth The warmth from family who greet on another in one place The love that makes time for meeting others face to face A family of relatives that gather around the Christmas tree A church family that celebrates as one body united unto Thee Christmas can be celebrated with Christian singles united as one Christmas can be with church couples who all love God's only son What's important is that the people gather united as a family Then celebrate the birth of a baby, born to die for you and for me. Amen

It's the human family, Christ was talking about, isn't it, where will we store all our weapons, to come together in peace in Christs name, and if someone cheated turn the other cheek as he asked, until then Christmas is clearly only celebrated by a clique, run by different holy men and associations, don't think love even enters the conversation, at least not outside that circle, if at that within. Within the immediate family yes, maybe, but isn't it about sharing that day with him in celebration of a wider circle, that of humanity, no not with Christmas trees, trinkets, and junk, but with a sharing of his love all year long, Christmas being a culmination of us honouring who he is, was, and will be, no? Bless you for your lovely write though.
