Are you trying to achieve the right BAlanCE in life? Read on my friend...

Poem Artwork

We all try to achieve the right BAlanCE in life

Trying to live right without too much stress or strife

Then if we eat or drink a little too much in one day

Our tummy is full and we feel like floating away

The same thing goes for driving our cars too fast or too slow

We can’t afford a ticket but we feel the need to go, go. GO!

Treating our friends and relatives right is important, we know

But we don’t want to be taken for granted or let down low

Exercise is good for the heart and it helps us to feel almost like new

But if we overdo it we can get shin splints or pull a muscle or two

We try to live good lives and do what is right, honest and just

Then we pray to God for wisdom; for it’s in Him we can trust!

So when I feel off balance in the mist of the day

I look up to Heaven and take time to pray.

Amen!

Great poem, John, and you gave the perfect way to get and to keep the balance that is sorely needed in our lives: Keep doing the good things we do, and don't forget to pray!

Balance is hard to maintain because of not too much, not too little. Most of the time, it's pretty vague. But once you attain it, everything turns to be wonderful and pleasant, as this poem is.

I think we all try our best to do the right things and hurt no one and I truly believe that God will always show us the way. A favorite saying of mine is, " When God closes the door He always leaves a window open". I have found that to be true so many times for so many people. They come to me and tell me they lost a job or some other problem that feels to them that they will not beable to handle and I tell them to give it to God because He will handle their problems. An excellent write. thank you for sharing .

You mean like pondering the balance of good and evil on the point of a pin? A god-awful waste of time.
