Mother - What Would We Do Without You?

My mother is 92 going on 29. She is a precious loving gem of mine.

Poem Artwork

Throughout the daily struggles of life and the ups and downs of the day

A mother, sometimes you just need her in a loving way

This life takes twist and turns and you cannot make sense of it

A mother, she can set you straight and take you out of the pit

Friends can come and go and some will lead you astray

A mom, sometimes you just need her in a loving way

When no one seems to understand and all you need is a helping hand

A mother, she will listen and be on your side like  no other

So "thank you" for being there mom. Your always right on time, you are amore

You are much more than a friend of mine

You take me as I am into your loving arms.

What would we do without our moms?

Amen

Amen to this! I wish I still had my mom. She was all of that and more. I miss her more than words can say.

A lovely, apt, and timely offering which stands as a tribute to your mom. Well done, John. I never really got to know my mother and that does sadden me. Love and blessings to you and to your mom,

Regis

...there are not magical secrets to answer your question John Michael,
but your warm poem orchestrated...so very well...the music of Mother's
heart and love...we all appreciate and enjoy...and love to hear...
Your verse found the proper words to express our respect...love...and
admiration for all Mums. Thanks for sharing your wisdom.

This is testimony to the wonder that is the mother-child relationship and no matter how old or young we are - or become! - we are forever locked into that dynamic of mutual bonding. Lovely work, John, and kudos to both you and your amazing Mom. May you both continue to be blessed. xx

A beautiful tribute to any mother anywhere. I lost my mom 12 yrs. ago at age 73. Dementia robbed her of dignity, and miss her so.

Your words echo my thoughts about my mother and how she gently directed me in the right direction, and still does… At 90. Unfortunately she is far away and unable to communicate by telephone or email anymore, so I haven't seen her since 2011. I do hope to get there this year with all that entails for me to travel.

Beautiful poem and tribute.
