I had just finished eating dinner As I lied down on my bed, Gazing out to the naked trees As thoughts danced in my head. Thoughts of This, and thoughts of That, Thoughts of Heaven and Hell, Thoughts that always frighten me, And thoughts that I know well. Thoughts of Love, and thoughts of Hate, Thoughts of Here and There, Thoughts that follow me to bed, And thoughts that follow me everywhere. Thoughts that scare me, thoughts that don't, Thoughts that drive me crazy, Thoughts that get stuck in my throat, And thoughts that set me free. Thoughts of Foes, and thoughts of Friends, Thoughts of Me and You, Thoughts that always worry me: Thoughts that prove our love untrue .
