A Christmas Day Dream

A Christmas morning is on its way
I have a dream of what should be
I want my family all ‘round me
Yummy food and Christmas lights
Grand kids shining faces bright
Children grown with worried brows
Now giving way as their kids show
The joy of brightly colored bows
Surrounding boxes holding secrets
But in the end the very best is
The cheer of all of us together
The chatter, chaos, mounds of paper
Is part of love begun the day
That love became reality
For all Gods children this love came small
A tiny baby born within a stall
Under a star that glowed to all the world
And told us all too now behold
Forever we will be a Holy Family
And that’s the truth forever, finally!
So don’t forget that Christmas story
And praise that love in all its glory
