When the time comes to pay the price
Will I be up to the fight?
When the piper demands his dues
Will I do what is right?

In times of strife I have retreated
In times past I chose to run
Now however I stand defeated
My time against the wall has come

Now the plans once thought sacred
Have been shredded and blown away
And a new plan that’s mine is plotted
As willfully I live each day

So hun don’t try to push my buttons
I dismantled them a while ago
For now the only path that’s open
Is the one I wish to follow

I will pay, no doubt, those high prices
But the clearance rack has disappeared
And all that’s left to me is priceless
It's me I sell upon that shelf

My soul has come into its own
And I am master of its wishes
No more I'll choose to back away
And allow others plans for all my days
