It was late summer when first my eyes noted an aloof man in the window of a well named coffee Meister. My observer mode, was present.
Mike my wonderful friend drank his coffee with vigor. My wonderment had traveled several feet away. He swiftly turned his head to see what had captured my attention. Smiling as he does, when my flame flickers. Do you know the man in the window? Not exactly I replied. He laughed, don't tell me it's another past life thing. Laughing no no, I have chatted with him on the personals, but he's never gotten up the nerve or the willingness to meet me. Mike raised his eyebrows and smiled.
Meanwhile, I was focused on how long would it take him to feel my presence gazing at him...several seconds went by, as he put cream in his coffee. He seemed relaxed in his body. He definitely had some wear around the eyes that told me he had experienced life. At last, he look up and his eyes twinkled like stars and he smiled and I waved. In a calm stride he came out the door and walked over. How do I know you? Laughing I said personals, he said yeah I joked around with you a couple of times. He asked could he join us and I introduced my friend Mike, we chatted about 10 minutes and he was off. Walking away he said I'll see you sometime, he mounted a candy apple red Harley that sounded like a fog horn in the pacific.
He seems interesting don't you think, I don't know yet, but I like his smile and the twinkle in his eyes and his jokes. I can feel a boyish glean still lives with him.

You have an easy narrative style that invites the reader further into the story without complexity or devices. I enjoyed your direct storytelling and the ready access to the reader. Wonderful writing.
