for temporary satisfaction or a real cool situation
between two beautiful people?

And personally, I’m tired of the games

More than mere thoughts
you creep into my dreams at night
and sleeping right beside me
kissing me and making me feel so
womanly.
Through the empty space beside me
I feel your energy.
You are the air in my lungs pushing me
on days when people are pissing me off.
I flick off the daily grind by trying to think
of our last conversation.
And you make me smile,
god, you don’t know how you make me smile.

Too damn scared to take that
first step cause I’ve been here before
and I don’t want to look back upon our
connection as something simple.
No words can describe this feeling

Just know that I’m thinking about you
in ways that I can’t even defend to myself.

Oh, yeah, Cynthia. I know that better than most. You know it's a trip about the internet. But this poem is based on a ideal of being connected with someone who's not in the same locale as you and how you can keep the fires burning longer.

Well written!!! How true this is... The internet, phonelines, etc. can connect two people ...but what is truth and what is a game? Without knowing someone personally, one will never know! It may touch the body, heart, soul... entire being of one person, and have no real meaning to the other person! This is the reason that I would never let myself get "caught-up" in attention from someone that I haven't met in person! Oh well, I guess if it gives you some happiness and pleasure even for a little while, then maybe it doesn't really matter. Just be careful out there! Be weary of suave men on the net!!! lol

Yes, you can keep the fires burning longer with a person in a different locale than you. But, you may NEVER know if that person is sincere or just playing with your emotions. The person may encapsulate your heart and soul and it may mean nothing to him! It is so easy to deceive from a distance! But, like I said, “…if it gives you happiness and pleasure, even for a little while, then maybe it doesn’t really matter.” Regardless, the poem is great!!
