Why can't we just wait and stop pushing sex in relationships? Interesting concept here. Drink this cup full. Enjoy.

Why Can’t We? By Pam Osbey

What is so wrong with
waiting?
Why are we constantly anticipating
the hot sheets?
When we need to figure out if
we complete each other
baby.
What is so wrong with waiting?
What is the real rush for?
Why do you cry wolf if
I say no, I don’t want
sex at the beginning of
what should be courtship?
I’m tired of the bull crap.
I’ll just wait this through.
Cause I have more in my life
Cause I am more than silky
thighs and wet body parts.
Can you hold me and be okay
with no sex for once?
And not get mad because you
feel rejected...
I ache for a real man.
I ache for a real love.
A man that can tell me he’s
okay with waiting.
That’s what I want.
I don’t really need a rush job
on this special love.
I want to find out up front
if he’s the one I should be with
before we hit the sheets.
What is wrong with wanting
to find out if our hearts and souls
will be complemented by each other?
Why must the rush be on the physicality?
What happens when you find out you really
can’t stand me...
Cause when the love is true there will
be no reason to rush the love.
The devotion will be there.
And we can learn each other.
Feel each other out.
Be friends first.
That’s what I want
and what I really need.
To find out if we can romance beyond the hot
twisted sheets of lust.
