The great void of emptiness returns My heart recognizes the silent song Too many miles between us Words spoken in rash temperament ~ mostly wrong Once released and irretractable They echo and reverberate Reminders of who you thought you were And a persona you debate Rude awakenings, seldom welcome Abruptly jolt you from your dream Question your faith and hope Of what was and is and which ~only seemed Memories replay sad lullabies Reminders of what was or could have been Before your heart reasoned itself to limitations Trapped by the boundaries of if...and...or...when Sudo Nym September, 2007 All Rights Reserved
