My dad was a little bit country~~~Thanksgiving tribute
You might have seen him riding on tractor, shoveling hay , or cleaning the barn
But what you don't know is he was preparing to take care of Gods new lawn!
We know the old barn story , sheds the light secrets of my dads love in our lords -plain sight, wearing coveralls to tend his beautiful sight
Down at the end of grassy lane, with each tenderness to animals fowls be bright
My dad was the farm boy through and through, what a miraculous man he gave in legacy to my own, sharing blooms in petals for my home
He shared a story about how you live in gods green earth, you share in farm life sees the birth
My dad was lilt bit country~~~
You smell the flowers the blooms ,Through noon , twilight
Each night you kiss sweet earth good night
You nurture it well take care and no it test the wills , With golden wheat , he made sure that we eat, shared nothing less but with all his happiness
You share the dinner thanksgiving turkey .He carved with Ham.
Now with dad who has passed, Mom does the traditional at ninety years old she shares the table still.
In memory we talk of his food he made .He sure loved a crowd
The cheery sunshine, shared many beautiful pairs, mom and he loved us all , in heart cherished ball, at night while the angels slept , my father would keep , till all was sleep tending the crop fields, farmland to , my father was all country
My dad shared flowers, in ending the cattle array ground the wheat and corn,
He shared open blue amethyst skies, My dad shared in all our lives
My dad was lilt bit country~~~
Celebrating all births and wonders of the years, My dad smiled in wedding , children's grandchildren cheer
He is my dad, beautiful golden smiles , I shall miss
Winds straight to my heart, my dad is the very special part
Next time the farmer in overalls stands and smiles from a distance , seen
While the grassy moors shed the lord beautiful green
Smile its lords open door, my dad is visiting some more....I am so thankful for my family, an memories
