In the horizon
Breaking the scenery
Like shards of glass
Piercing flesh
Leaving it to bleed
A thousand sunsets

I see your eyes
In the rain
Pelting steaming pavement
With shimmering stares
Infinitesimal windows
Revealing fragments
Of your soul

I feel your motion
In the wind
Swirling carelessly
Listless and lively
Embracing completely
Every speck of living
Space it can fill

I feel your skin
In the earth
As it sifts through my hands
Unharnessable
Leaving them stained
With the faint odor
Of musky tranquility
