i pity your blindness
your frailty
and my plunging
into an illusion.
your credence, unachievable
but still, my compulsion.
you proved mercurial,
Forever instable
and completely impervious.
my certitude wanes
plummets
down into the depths of indifference.
you proved me petty
insincere in my faith
(I guess I contrived my emotions).
now I feel paltry,
worthless and meager;
i am shown artificial
with you as my debaser.
and my soul spills over
full of your skepticism.
i feigned fidelity
unaware of your confusion.
and now I am enlightened;
callous, cold
numb.
