This poem turned into, one of my most requested, and well recieved, songs.

Poem Artwork

His Church was once a fountain,
of waters, pure and clean.

 A place where man's salvation,
was honed sharp and keen.

Where fellowship abided,
where the truth, was always heard.

Where there was but, one answer:
His loving, living, Word.

But, time has taken over,
man, has had his way.

The apostles would only tremble,
if they saw ,His Church, today.

The reckless faith of prosperity,
the ti
es to a wicked world.

The soiled and amended translations, of His truth, that once was heard.

Complacency and a need to belong,
to mold itself to stayus quo, to heart beat, of the ever sinning, throng.

The pastor's speech is eloquent,
he's got a real degree.

His credentials and acceptance,
echo, down the halls.

What ever happened, to the, Pastor ,
 Holy Spirit, called?

 What happened to the counselor,
 with Bible verse in hand?

We're told to seek our answers,
to our troubles and our doubt.

From educated specialists,
who often, leave God out.

Our time is allocated,
to work, and, then to play.

How much time do we really take,
to get on our knees, and pray?

We're casting out his minions,
we think we're binding satan's hands.

What happened to resisting,
 an obedient life to show?

His Word, says: then he'll flee from us,
he'll leave us alone.

 But obedience isn't popular,
Lordship, it's, not in.

We look the other way, and discredit,
the messenger, when confronted,
with our sin.

Strong Art!

A good statement from one with a prophetic eye for the sad state that the Christian church is in.

I agree, there are too many in the Christian church with earthly degrees and not Heavenly ones, those who pander to the flesh and not to the Spirit. The book of Jude is a great statement of the depravity that exists inside the church just before the revealing. If one studies and believes scripture we know that the church will be in shambles in the end days and filled with very strange birds of doctrine.

Don't stress too much! It's all in His hands and in the unfolding of His plan many eyes will be opened to something they never once envisioned.

Stay the course!

Richard

Those who look the other way, indifferent to their brother and sister's suffering, will be punished too...
It is a great poem and song...
