But now, O LORD, You are our Father; we are the clay and you are the potter; and all we,  are the work of Your hand...Isaiah 64:8

THE PATENT

I am the potter...
                                                          and you are the clay,
I created you...
you are beautifully, and fearfully, made.

I designed your intricate pattern...
                                                  you come from my hands,
I brought you to life...
                                                            you bear my image.

I gave you the strength of my power...
                                                          alone, you are weak.
I introduced you into the world...
                                                                  you are unique.

I watched you grow and multiply...
                                          you brought me great pleasure!
I saw you attain greatness...
                                                          you forgot about me.

I heard the cries of your struggle...
                                                    you will always need me.
I witnessed your rise and fall in the World market...
your worth is still greatest to me.

I called you back...
                                                  you wanted your freedom.
I gave you a choice...
                                                    you chose world acclaim.

I watched you shatter...
                                                     you are a broken vessel.
I offered to repair you, make you whole again...
                                                                   you denied me.

And now Man
                               is trying to imitate what I have made;

                              Re-creating you

But I...
          still hold the patent.
                                     For I AM...
                                                       the breath...
                                                                         of your life:
                                            I AM...
                                                        the LORD
                                                                        ...your God!
