This poem was inspired as I held my grandson. Actually they all seem to love to watch the ceiling fans as they revolve. It has a wonderful quieting affect on them. My youngest grandson will watch until sleep befalls him.

Through The Eyes of a Baby

It goes around in a circle that never ends.

His eyes are drawn to its constant motion

Which mesmerizes him as it creates the winds

Into a breeze like that that blows off the ocean.

His eyes try to keep up with its constant movement

As he is drawn into its world of spins

He doesn’t seem to notice the air that it sent

But he sees how it moves as it creates its cool winds.

He is only a baby, he knows not what it’s for

Nor does he care that the air feels soft and cool

His mind is caught up in its wonderful allure

He doesn’t know now that’s its movements can rule

His mind and his spirit as it spins up above.

Before his eyes close and he notices no more

I look at him as he sleeps my bundle of love.

I lay him down gently as I close the door.

I sing chorales of praises to my God up above.
