Each small breath we breathe each beat of the heart

Are wondrous miracles and as such are a part

Of life’s miraculous beauty, of life’s marvelous drive

They help take us to a world of fulfillment for which we all strive.

We needn’t worry where our life cometh from for that is ordained

For each breath we have taken has always remained

In the hands of the father who gives us our breath

Each breath we take sustains us and keeps us from death.

So, why do we worry about our future on earth?

Why do we not live life for all that its worth.

God gives us the heartbeat that keeps us alive.

He gives us the courage so we all can survive

Life’s problems and troubles and still live each day

Believing in God so we honestly can say

I know not what the future holds but I know who is my guide

He is the one that I proudly call my God

He gave me my breath so with it I shout

Serving my Lord is what life’s all about.

My Lord Jesus Christ has come into my being

And now I can walk through the dark without even seeing

For I know his light will guide me all the way

Each little breath I take as I live throughout my day.

Tomorrow is promised but I know not where I will be

But I care not, for wherever I am so is he.
