Shine on Lew! Exhortation to the glory of God! What a refresher course we get from this my brother. Depression creeps in but the Holy Spirit can blow it out!

This is an excellent and powerful write, Lew!

Not only did I mourn for the 32 murdered ..I mourned for the boy who committed them. After all, Father God created him, too.

People don't just (snap!) become like this overnight.. Something/someone crushed his very spirit (severe trauma), probably when he was very young. That creates a spiritual opening for satan to move in and try to create a stronghold...depression IS a spirit of hatred, turned INWARD, onto one's self. Just like those of us who house the Holy Spirit produce good fruit, those evil spirits multiply and produce bad fruit.

Resentment is the handmaiden to hatred; every time that poor, miserable soul was spurned or scorned, his resentment actually FED the spirit of hatred, until it grew so huge, it became a spirit of Murderous Rage, whose only end is DEATH.

We now live in an age of Lawlessness, as the LORD told us would happen, and we live in a "Death Culture" Our young people are now shooting each other down in our neighborhood streets, every day. I believe Cho WAS searching for help...he mentioned being crucified like Jesus. He was speaking metaphorically, of course..but describing the intensity of his pain, and knowing what he was about to do, probably tried to find some form of "forgiveness" first. My heart goes out to all the families of the perished, including his.

You're spot-on with this write, Lew. Sad indeed when depression cripples the mind, making rational thoughts impossible. To your quoted Scripture, I add, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Ephesians 6:12. One more attempt of the devil to destroy God's creation. We have to keep our eyes on Jesus!

A difficult thing to write about Lew but you did it very well. I read that the shooter was on anti-depressants for his depression. Some of those medications cause suicidal and homicidal tendencies in the young. I'm not making any excused for his horrendous acts, merely trying to cast some light on a very dark happening. He was obviously very sick and nobody paid attention to the warning signs that were prevalant.

You and I (and many others) on the same page today: our hardened hearts refuse to be stirred unless a tragedy of monumental proportions occurs; then we flood into the light for a temporary moment, only to return to our caves of darkness and apathy. Well done.

It is mankind's apathetic view on caring for your fellow man that has brought us to this fate, and the removal of God from our schools, our homes, our very lives. We are suffering as a result of this; and nobody seems to have any answers. Sad state our nation or world is in nowadays; scary!

Chllling write! One day we will answer to the Big Guy Upstairs and for many it will be a bad wakeup call; they will find out too late that they screwed up big time!
