I am troubled when I see the hardship fellow Americans face today.

I am troubled by what have always been idle promises by politicians, who say,

“I can change the country and I can change our government.”

Promises easily made though not always kept or even meant.

The problem with out country today is that too many of us have lost our way.

We have become complacent and only when things get rough do we even try to say.

Give us liberty and give us a right to be truly a part of the country we adore.

Too often our vote counts for just one day and then it is heard no more.

Only when another election day comes do they call upon us for support.

We should check each congress person’s record and if he supports not the common good it is he that we should abort.

Keep in mind that whoever we vote as our President he or she will not bring change.

It must be the people who find their strength to support and rearrange.

“Ask not what your country can do for you,” a great man once said to us all.

“Ask what you can do for your country,” Upon these words our nation will stand or fall.
