The storm approaches

The evening is beautiful and the air is a gentle breeze.

The rising moon is welcomed by a thousand stars above.

The clouds float tenderly above the land and trees

A couple sits watching this all with love.

They do not notice the menacing dark clouds that come rolling out of the western sky.

Suddenly there comes a flash of lightning followed by the sound of thunder

And the light breeze is no longer a gentle sigh.

The couple finds a place to crawl asunder.

Seeking a place to hide from drops of rain that fall.

They watch the lightning, wind and falling rain

From their vantage point in this abode of cover.

Even as the storm progresses they find no reason to complain.

They simply watch natures show, simply glad to be with their lover.

Love is like that!
