Snow falls to form a blanket
But it will not keep you warm
I am standing here and shivering
As I watch the raging storm
The bitter wind blows and the snow is drifting
This way and that where’re the winds are shifting
I see can my breath and my teeth are chattering in the frigid air
Snow covers the street, the walk and everywhere
Oh, how I long for the breath of spring
Whose awakening will give us cause to sing
I must admit, though the snow brings memoirs when all else is said
It brings back days when all of us road the snow downhill upon a sled.
