The Distance of Good Bye

She traced the resonance of her solitary tear...
silence casting its
tacit grip
muting her gentle spirit
subdued
aching
for whispered remnant of
Promise

A query...ringing inaudibly, irresolute
as stillness permeates the breeze
and whispers of love waxed
deafening
dissolute
she, adrift in the reticent twilight of
Unknown

Separateness surrounds her
in hollow cacophony transcending
pleas of hushed pardon
obscure
eclipsed
unspoken in the faint distance of
Good-bye

You write with quite a stage presence. I'm interested in more of your poetry, and cannot wait to read more. I think you've done a very good job here.

Dear Taylor, As I read and reread this poem, I try to stabilize my emotions and look at it from a purely critical perspective. But I just can't seem to get to that point -not yet. I'm beginning to realize it will take some time before this poem loosens its grip on my imagination and my heart. You have overwhelmed me with your pen and I'm not sure I want to be released from inside "the faint distance of goodby." I would rather let my spirit remain here "adrift in the reticent twilight of Unknown" for a while. This poem is alive. It lives and breathes here on this page. It will not let me go. Perfect artwork to go with this amazing piece of work! ~Butch

beautiful, beautiful... I love this sleek, classical and moody style from your enigmatic pen, Taylor. You create in sounds of ringing silence just how often we can feel muffled in a devastating sense of distance that so often feels like punishment; the sensitive spirit that translates separation as the always mia culpa... As always, your effortless gift of writing pours through your pen. Bless you and thank you. K xx

This is truly outstanding poetry. Anytime I can walk hand in hand with each wonderful line and then come away with..." WoW" Then the writer has truly toched home with me. This piece done that.

Goodbyes aren't always final but in love...we sometimes lace it with finality. Your pen assures us that though final, there is power in goodbyes as well.
Love to a great poetess.
