Like lemmings to the sea, well-minded people become crazy shoppers this time of year and then, regret their spending in the new year.

Madness

It's that time of year,
when people of good cheer,
seem to lose their minds.

When accumulated junk,
grows in the trunk,
and credit card debt,
grows out of bounds.

Clued in by deals,
door buster steals,
the masses hanker,
for more and more.

With discounts galore,
shoppers mob the store,
break down the door,
starved like the poor.

Their patience now spent,
in long lines without rent,
they fight for their right,
to the spoils through the night.

To the corporation's delight,
watching maniacs fight,
for obsolete, unsold stuff.

For some it becomes war,
as they try to get more,
gladiators getting rough.

Home they come happy,
gloating like fools sappy.
Although they're not wary,
the bill arrives in January.

Shouldn't be to anybody's surprise.
Just a word to the already wise.

MY DAUGHTER AND SON-IN-LAW WENT TO A BLACK FRIDAY SALE BUT...ONE(1)TIME!
OH THEY FOUND BARGAINS ALRIGHT BUT THE CONDITIONS AND MASSIVE CROWD WAS 'UNBELIEVABLE'...JUST LIKE YOU SAID, CONTENTIONS, PHYSICAL FIGHTS AND EVERYTHING ELSE WAS GOING ON. THEY NEVER WENT TO ANOTHER ONE. AND FOR ME PERSONALLY, I HAD A STAY-AT-HOME, COMPUTER BUYING GIRL 'MADNESS'. I DON'T EVEN WANT TO TALK ABOUT THE CARDS THAT I MAXED OUT AND AM(THROUGH A DEBT CONSOLIDATION COMPANY)PAYING BACK. SO, I LOVE THIS POEM...FOR IT'S CONTENTS, STYLE AND GREAT RHYME SCHEME. AND I COMPLETELY AGREE, INDEED, THANKS FOR SHARING, RONALD. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

GREAT POEM RON!
That's why it's called BLACK FRIDAY!
It's a demonic rant for more stuff!
This is the LAST thing folks need
We could only hope and pray
That the line for love and compassion
Is HALF this size!
Now, if it could only be packaged!
Hope your Thanksgiving was filled with love and compassion
A family gathering that's mended hearts and did not break them.
Amen

Crazy, isn't it? Well, not for me, if I can help it!

Yesterday I found a picture of a guy with a bloodied face, swollen and bloodied lips, a black eye - all for a four sliced toaster that had saved him $14.00! I hope his medical bills will not spercede that amount he had saved!

I absolutely loved this oh so true snapshot of holiday shoppers. Me, I just stay home. No deal is worth that much hassle. What really gets me are the people who camp out overnight just to first in line.

Got that right! Madness only matched by the White House instability.
