All of the billionaires who supported candidates with millions of dollars have recovered their money and more in the last week since the election. What have you received from your $5 donation? A one-time $500 tax cut?

The Apathetic Crowd by Ron AI Most of Us People who just ride along, have always been peons to power, spend their lives for their song, looking for solutions to the hour. Complain a lot about what's wrong, rely on their friends for the truth, few have the guts to lead the throng. Following rituals from their youth. Think that happiness is wealth, while ignoring those in need, giving pennies instead of dollars, succumbing more to greed. Wasting their years in pleasure, ignoring their long term wealth. taking risks without any measure, ending their lives with no health. Losers that are singled out, by the powerful that be who, play the system and have clout, over the likes of me and you. Are you a gainer or a loser? Copyright 2024 © Ronald W. I AM, BY THE WORLD'S STANDARDS...A LOSER. WHY? BECAUSE...'WHEN I AM WEAK, THEN I AM STRONG' AND ALSO, 'TRIBULATIONS...WORKETH HOPE, WHEREBY THE LOVE OF GOD IS SHED ABROAD IN OUR HEARTS. One wouldn't believe how few will standup when it gets really bad. It took more then 50,000 children dead and more then 500,000 broken for more then the few to rise. And it was for the Vietnam war and never civil rights. And then it the mothers who marched on Washington, DC. The few kept the fight just large enough to keep the sheep aware until too many sons both cane home broken or dead. Now this poem brings all that back as does reality. "Wasting their years" "spend their lives for their song,

Very thought provoking poem. I always wonder about this strange dominance of the crowd that the rich and powerful seem to have. Why do we put up with it? I do believe that if conditions get really bad, more people will find the nerve to rise up. But I'd hate to see things get that bad before something gets done to fix the various problems this society has. Thanks for sharing!
