Liberals, Dreamers, Futurists and Scientists

Liberals, dreamers, futurists and scientists,

Make progress without ever raising angry fists.

They do it by logic, reason, truth and trust.

Not loud slogans untrue , power and lust.

Liberals want to make life fair for all.

An equal playing field for their call.

Believing in enterprise and free will.

Not in some danger that we must kill.

Dreamers are those who fantasize a lot,

New ways of thinking that they’ve got.

Philosophers and seekers into the fore,

Exploring ideas never thought of before.

Futurists are thinking ahead for humankind.

With predicting tools like the science fiction mind.

Some may be too fantastic to ever become real,

Sometimes, surprise us, how accurate they feel.

Scientists’ curiosity have no limits or bounds,

Seeking the truth of history in burial mounds.

Nothing is too large or too small for their thrust,

Often controversial for those who don’t trust.

Jesus, Buddha, Gandhi, and Martin Luther King,

Showed us what progress non-violence can bring.

Continued angry violence will bring down everything.
