Helpless

As you cry, your words incoherent

I can do nothing but love you

But your sadness weighs heavy on my soul

Grateful

That you shared those tears with me

The one that you had removed

From sharing in your life

Sad

Weight like a blacksmith’s anvil

That cannot be stopped from crushing

Without the uplifting of others

Sorry for self

You are so entitled

But only for short stints

Or the pity will take from your living

Closed

Don’t talk about it

For there is no room in the universe

For what its existence would take from our lives

Angry

What the hell am I doing?

I don't get to cry

Tears don't help anything

We all have our moments like I do, and one must fight and climb higher. Good write.

We do have that ole choice, to get over it sooner or later, and sooner is preferable too later...

Each emotion within the soul is one that helps relieve, release, and heal, though there are feelings and things that only tears, whether spilled by one or by another, there will still be the hidden notes that hide within the heart and soul...

a very nice work, Karen...

As humans we are given a full set of emotions, some suppress (especially men) some of them such as sadness, depression etc, but they are still there. I agree with the subtle message in this write that we should let our emotions have their day but as in all things...moderaton.

Oh yes. This takes us through the complete rollercoaster and yet leaves us reeling with a sense of helplessness, perhaps, at the end. When another's pain and confusion is very acute, all we can do is to attend it like a midwife. Too much intervention, even well-intentioned, can be damaging when someone just needs to walk the walk and to vent. But the knowledge that people who love you are around while you "birth" this thing is hopefully a comfort. Tears may not appear to help but they perhaps release a certain amount of the strain. This is a painful place. Bless you, Kate xx
