Fear can be our worst enemy, Barbara, but once we understand that the Lord is always with us and fear is unneeded, we can go on to lead healthy and happy lives. Regardless of how horrible life becomes, He always cares.

And let me add to that the verse from 2 Timothy 1:7 - "For God did not give us the spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love, and of a sound mind." Great job, Barbara. An important topic to address.

Wonderful realism and comfort in your lines here, Barbara. What consolation you bring to the very real spirit of fear that clogs our minds and spirits at times. "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of all wisdom"... and that "fear" is not of "being afraid", but KNOWING just who He is and what He can do for us... Outstanding write my friend, a great reminder telling us that if we live our life for God and trust Him, why worry, why allow fear to rule us! Bravo, this would be a great poem to post on our refrigerators or by our desks. Enjoyed this well written much my friend!
