Sing it! You know the tune! But Puhleez, speed up the tempo! (or you'll never harvest a crop!) If I don't have the rhythm right, please forgive me. I tried!
(1) I've been working in the garden all the livelong day. I've got sunburn and a backache that just won't go away. Don't you hear the crows a-cawing? Rise up so early in the morn! Don't you hear the gardener shouting, "Get OUT of my corn! Veggies, won't you grow, Veggies, won't you grow, Veggies, won't you grow for me-e-e?Veggies, won't you grow, Veggies, won't you grow, Veggies, won't you grow for me? Cauliflower, cabbage, zucchini, I-can hardly wait-to see them sprou-ou-ou-out! Cucumbers, asparagus, celery, hope the weeds don't choke them out! Dig, plant, water and hoe, Dig, plant, water and ho-o-o-oe! Dig, plant, water and hoe, waitin' for my seeds to grow! (2) I've been working in the garden all the livelong day. Love it, matter a fact doing some canning tonight...about sick of it, glad this is the last. I really like the poem, I may borrow it to read to my first grade class in the spring when we study the life cycle of a plant....great work.

Oh I hate to wait for plants to grow....I want an instant garden....too painful when I see the pigggies dig it up again!!

So I gave up...gardening and started to write poetry and therefor creating my own garden here!!
