Richard, I tried to write a review of this poem, but it wouldn't accept it, saying I had previously written a review. However, I hadn't. This is what I said:
Richard, you are a man of many talents. Your rose garden is absolutely gorgeous. I can not find the words to express my perception of just how beautiful it is, but your excellent poetic description says what I can not say.
I can remember back when you said to me that you weren't into writing poetry (or something similar). You've overcome those early hurdles by leaps and bounds and are penning poetry that touches the passions and soul of readers.
Indeed, to enable you to create such beauty as your colorful roses, God must walk in your garden.

These representations of your garden are just divine. And your poem does them justice as well. To walk through this scene and to sit a spell on one of the benches and to survey the surrounding hills is like a bit of heaven on earth, I think. Love it.
Gardens are there to remind us of that Garden of Eden that God gave to us. Can we anytime soon reverse the tendency and go back to what if was?

The photo of the garden is beautiful! I think that being outdoors, the scent of the flowers, and the vibrant colors of a garden is the best way to heal the mind and spirit. The garden seems very calming and refreshing. Most of all, a garden helps people to reflect and relax. Excellent poem!

I love the perspective this was written from, allowing us to hear the "voice" of the garden. The author is attentive to every detail, every aspect of the garden -- the sky, the environs, the plants, the statuary, and even the air -- regaling the reader with a 360 degree experience of the subject. The structure and style of the poem lend themselves to the topic, leading the reader easily through each stanza with the easy flow of the rhyme. Exquisitely crafted. Thank you for sharing.

Nicely written. I feel like I've been immersed in summertime as I sit here in mid-January with temperatures in the teens. This piece uplifts and surrounds the reader with sights, sounds and smells.

For those of us who live in the hustle and bustle of the city, this indeed is a very refreshing walk, especially with the marvellous accompanying music choice of the poet. I look forward to a walk in a garden such as this, if I can find one!

Richard, a walk in your garden sounds absolutely wonderful. I love your poem, the images, and the sensory impressions. I tried my hand with roses and was a terrible failure. The picture of your garden is a blessed little Eden.
Richard, I found this to be a pleasant walk along a magnificent overlook that produced a beautiful veiw of lovely flowers and landmarks. I could actually smell the fresh flowers and see the small hummingbird whirl its tiny wings. This is a beautifully written piece of poetry.
