I am now printing this poem on parchment paper or with a flowered frame, complete with colored bubbles. It contains the name of the child in place of "Little One." I believe the four added lines at the end have enhanced it.

Welcome Home, Little One!           O

With a huge smile, Jesus reached out His hand
to welcome His little one.
Little One only hesitated a moment      O
before she reached toward Him,
and He bent down and lifted her    O
in His strong arms.
As soon as she was encircled                     O
in the safety of His arms,       O
Little One gave Jesus a big, lovey hug,
completely unafraid.  She snuggled close
as He sang a happy melody just for her.
O

A tiny smile turned up the corners
of her mouth,                               O
curving her rosebud lips                           O
until she and her Friend
broke into giggles together.        O
Then, as their giggles became
peals of laughter,
they could see bubbles of joy               O
floating high in the air,
making tinkling sounds,
as though the angels were playing
giggle-tunes on musical bells,      O
just beyond the nearest puffy white cloud.

"Welcome home, my Little One,"       O
Jesus whispered, gazing into her eyes.       O
She reached to touch His loving face
with her tiny hand,
as Jesus smiled at His perfect, beautiful child.

Little One was home.

Jesus said,
"Let the little children come to me,
and do not hinder them,
for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these."

Beautiful. What a comfort this poem will be to parents (or grandparents, or whoever) who have lost a loved one too young.
