Evening The clouds heavy, dark Orange and light blue Ribboned through Breeze from the west Soothed my frayed soul, Put it to rest I leaned on the deck Smoking my cigarette With a sigh With surprise I realized it was a good day One, I didn�t wish away Fun of shared laughter Sun to brighten my path A God given gift The end of the rift

You have captured such a relaxed feel in this poem. I can picture you on your deck, enjoying a smoke and the natural surroundings. Nicely penned!

Oh, I love this! Evening is my favorite time of day, a time of reflection, and the way you portray yourself on the porch, smoking your cigarette and enjoying the sky, the breeze, as you think back over your day -- that is such a great portrayal of humanness. Thanks for this. It really makes me smile.
