Molly is the Queen of the house. Just for fun...

Molly

Molly is one of my cats

She chose me and that was that

Scrawny little thing

Chased in by wind, cold and biting

Well, in the middle of her right paw

She has a very naughty claw

With this claw she gets lots of attention

Spilling over cups with bad intentions

A little plink of her claw

On your exposed butt

You were taking too long

And she wants to watch the toilet flush…What?

Beware other people and cats too

No one takes on Molly

Because they know they will loose.

Molly is loving and affectionate

You better pet her and don’t procrastinate

That claw will get your attention

Sleeping curled up is her only safe disposition

Just pet her when you walk near

Then the claw you won’t have to fear

People who know her run from Molly

And even I don’t escape her clawing folly

We are well bonded she and me

We understand one another truly

Prickly but full of love

People just need to handle us with kid gloves.

Another delightful poem, Liz! I think cat owners around the world will relate to this one. My hubby trained our cat to jump to his chest from high places. HE trained him...not me! Imagine my surprise when the cat jumped to my chest while I was combing my curls...lol! Scared the tar out of me:) Hugs~ Sheila

Fantastic alignment of both person and pet! And I thought it was we Brits who reflect the pets we choose?! I feel as though I know you both much better now, claws and all! :)) Love this symbiosis. TY Kate xx

Oh Elizabeth! This is absolutely adorable. I am a cat lover, so this one is very special to me. I have three and a dog who thinks they are sheep, as he likes to corral them. LOL...they are a lot of fun to watch. ~ Sara

A special poem for a special little kitty. Cats are wonderful creatures. I sure miss mine.

Kittens can indeed be special, Liz; and your Molly is no exception obviously. Thanks for sharing. Love and peace to you,

Regis

Lovely ode to a lovely kitten. Reminds me of how my Jazz was such a one man dog who loved (to bark at) everyone.

I can sure relate to this one, Elizabeth. I have a furry little "boy" that sounds a lot like your Molly, except his name is JJ. He is full of fun, and just about as naughty as they come!
