She got in her car
Rolled the windows way down
Lit up her smoke, heading for the bar
...and off she drove

She never means what she meant
Then, backwards she went
out the dirt drive
while stirring some dust up
In a fit of mussed up

She peeled down the street
Turned the radio way up
Singing out loud to some rock n ’roll beat
...and then parked her car
at Uncle Tom’s Bar

She was dressed to the hilt
with her hair hanging long
Got up on stage and requested a song
Play some "Floyd" or "Pink Cadillac"
It’s the color I’m after
For all us women!
I have to!

She danced through the night
last call, out the lights
thinking of her past
...and all long ago memories
Wishing forever
These moments could freeze

She went for a walk
in the peace of night airs
to clear all those webs that grew in her head
face the music now and drive away roams
...and then,  opening the door
She said,

"Hi honey, I’m home!"
