"Really though. . .I have all the time in the world!" :)

Poem Artwork

In the morning,
I recalled the night,
as I was lying there contemplating yesterday,
when you said you’d be here for all my tomorrow’s. . .

But,  then I saw you drive away
the same afternoon!
What is it with men today?
The second I thought I had him all figured out . . .?

One minute he was all lovey-dovey
and the next hour he was off and running!
One day he was all this way,
and then next week he was all that!

Month by month, year by year,
a moment in time, . . .in my seasons,
Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall, all he had to do is call . . .
Yeah right!

Don’t bother me for one instant!
Our past, this present from you,
And,  any future we might have had,  is over!
The time you have allotted is
gonzo!

Yesteryear is yore,
You’re an out-of-date, bygone,
not in my period on my time, past ago
A continual spanning duration, the length of nada!

Eons of eras, from a hereafter,
in the coming age of futurity, your timing sucks!
...and your time has come!
I’ve been clocking you!

Mistimes in a flash, in a lasting quick jiffy,
more than trice over, in the blink of an eye,
in a halved split second,  up to the very last, last minute,
my latest, the current in the inst., immediately stat,

"Your f***n’ dc’d.!"
I’m out'ta here . . .
Out and over!
To another place in time!

Later!. . .
Toodle-Loo!
Cheerio!. . .
Bye-bye!

"Ooooooh!. . ."MEN!"

And a bird took a flip. . .

As a human being I know the feeling. Fluctuating behaviour is neither a male nor female condition but a human one. Having said this, I've been let down by more men than by women. I guess this is due in part to my being a man who wears his heart very much on his sleave, a trait not common to men. I'm the kind of guy who asks a shopkeeper if she has made enough today to clear her overheads. How many shoppers ask this type of intrusive question, and so casually too? Yet the proprietor, without batting an eyelid, instinctively answered that she had made enough. Hence my social circle has always tended mainly to be female.
On the other hand, my daughter's social circle has tended largely to be male.
As I said, relationships are at the mercy of human whims or otherwise.

'And a bird took a flip.'

Now this line has me thinking. What did the singer mean when he sang 'She flies like a bird in the sky...'?

Regards
Dai

I've called me Jimmy ( Scot) for Men...Louie! As in Louie the fly. I can be talking to him, and he seems all ears, the next minute I turn around, he's vanished...
I have come to realize they are just wired differently! you can be prattling away, thinking they are listening, but they are planning their next fantasmagorical expedition or invention, whatever the case.
I saw a cartoon not long ago, a couple in bed, her think balloon reads, " I wonder if he loves me" and his think balloon reads, I wonder how flies walk about on the roof" I busted a gut laughing at that....MEN eh!
God love em.
Good lament here Kimmy, better luck next time then
:) Ch'erie

You know you shouldn't write (for men only) on anything, that will guarantee you that women will read! You've captured the thoughts of most women at one time or another through your cleverly woven words, a lady of many talents!
Blessings,
Joyce B.

It will be hysterically funny if it wasn't for that truth beneath, we tend to turn around and go to sleep others I heard take to smoking.
I would concour, sometimes our timing sucks.
Georg

PS you got my vote (now you are 44%) good luck!(not that you need any)

Have just finished researching word usage in this tirade. Dang, it appears that you've used them all, the vile, the bad, the ugly, and even one that looks like me! Wow... and another, Wow1! May I have permission to read this, word for slur, the next time someone breaks it off in me? Thanks. (Top notch writing, here.\). - Bill

What a fascinating, interesting write from a woman who admits to a fabulous family life and who adores her husband!

Is your still water reaching a rapids or are you reflecting observations?

You know I'm just kidding, Kimmy. Or am I?

"Ooooooh!. . ."WOMEN!"

We men have a very short attention span - it must be in our jeans and in our genes. Of course we are all 'lovey dovey' one minute, and 'on the road again' the next. I was going to say something else, but I already forgot, and I've gotta go!

Ouch! Reminds me of the old joke:

Why can't you make hamburger out of men? Because they're all pigs!

Not to make light of your pain. There is nothing more painful than unrequited love. You make your point well with this little poem which cuts like a knife. Good writing. I hope you heal soon.
