Once again it is a summer
With a seven and a two
Two zeroes in between
Describing us? Not true
We have weathered many storms
Like ships out to sea
Tossed about together
Never separating will we
A wordly vet
And a hippie gal
Tied the knot
And set sail
Summer of ‘72
Now 2 thousand and 7
At times it’s been hell
More so it’s been heaven
Together building a life
With super kids
Has made it great
Happy 35th my sweetie
July 29th will always
Be our special date
