Awww so sorry and it is sad.
I do not think anyone should shut up especially when you are amongst loved ones. On another note to love the elderly and to hear the melody of notes that they share couldn't be anything better I think, however my opinion. There is so much to learn from one another and it is heart shattering when someone thinks another should shut up...well as writers/(probably talkers too(smile) it is probably said to us all...however it does not make the pain any less or any less deeper.

Sad write; but you keep on talking! I am never gonna' tell you to shut up!! I tend to be a little shy around strangers, but once I get to know them, then they can't shut me up! Good write, but sad!!

You are right my friend, we can't please everyone all of the time...but you keep talking...even if it is with the keys on your keyboard and I'll keep reading/listening...I would love to come over and sit down with a cup of coffee and chat with you, it would be a toss up of which one of us talked the most...sounds like it could be a great evening of good ole conversation....talk/write on my friend!
